What is Self-Image, Anyway?

Our Solution
We can improve the way girls learn about self-image by incorporating 6-10 member, all-girl discussion groups into the school day at Century Middle School. These discussion groups would be led during lunch once a month by a female teacher at CMS, and would discuss sensitive topics like bullying and insecurities openly and honestly. We hope that by having 6th to 8th grade girls talk vulnerably about personal issues and stresses with their peers, we can alleviate some of the perfection-pressure that we middle school girls know all too well.
